Solidarity Dinner of the Comité Tricolore at Belga Café on Capitol Hill
A vibrant atmosphere modeled after Brussel’s casual cafés, Belga Café is the original Belgian restaurant in Washington, DC. Opened in 2004, the neighborhood locale on Capitol Hill is known for its authentic cuisine, extensive craft beers, and a beautiful wine selection.
A master of traditional Belgian cuisine with a flair for provocative dishes, Vandaele is a contestant on season 10 of Bravo’s “Top Chef.”
“I’ve become known as ‘the Belgian guy’ for putting Belgian food on the map in D.C.,” he says.

Special announcement from our partner Bastille Brasserie & Bar in Alexandria!
Maison Breizh at Bastille, a Brittany-inspired galetterie-crêperie is softly opening inside Bastille Brasserie & Bar on Thursday, June 4!
This project is rooted in Chef Michelle Poteaux’s first experiences with galettes through her husband’s family in Normandy, her hands-on training in Saint-Malo at Atelier de la Crêpe, and the idea of bringing a more everyday, side of French casual dining to Alexandria.
Maison Breizh is not simply a crêpe shop. The menu will focus on traditional buckwheat galettes, crêpes, French cider, wine, and Breton inspired dishes approached through a chef-driven lens.
Initial hours will be Wednesday–Saturday, 11:30am–2:30pm.
