Conseillers du Commerce Extérieur de la France (CCE)

The 4,500 Conseillers du Commerce Extérieur de la France (CCE) are executives and international trade experts who have been volunteering to support French businesses for over 120 years. They are located in France and in over 150 countries. They work in partnership with public and private organizations in charge of promoting and supporting French companies who want to develop their business overseas. The CCEs are selected by the French Prime Minister with the mandate of carrying out four missions:

  • Advise the French government by submitting business analyses, giving advice and providing recommendations on international trade or specific markets.
  • Support the global development of French companies by following specific projects, sharing operational experience or giving them access to their local contacts.
  • Share their business experience with students through conferences at universities and schools or through the support of specific projects.
  • Promote France’s attractivity by informing their residing country’s investors and authorities of the strengths and advantages of France.

They are represented in the Mid-Atlantic area (Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, DC) by a local chapter of around twenty members. You may reach them by contacting francois.badoual@total.com, pierre.clercrenaud@gmail.com or anne.kottmeier@gmail.com.
