French Series: Notre-Dame de Paris : Rebuilding a Legacy

Thursday 15 April 2021 from 11:30 to 13:00

Tune in on April 15th to learn more about one of France’s most famous ladmark and the reconstruction efforts currently underway!

On the second anniversary of the devastating fire at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, the Embassy of France in the United States will welcome you to a special French Series devoted to the monument, its history and the reconstruction efforts.

Several speakers will share their knowledge of the cathedral, their particular role during the reconstruction and you will have the opportunity to interact with them directly during our Q&A session!

Joining us on this extraordinary panel will be Peter Kovler, philanthropist and a major donor to the reconstruction efforts, Olivier Latry, organist, titulaire du Grand-Orgue de Notre-Dame de Paris, historian Stephen Murray, Columbia University, and Michel Picaud, the President of Friends of Notre-Dame de Paris. The discussion will be led by Philip Kennicott from the Washington Post.

The event will be held on Shindig so if you wish to get involved in the Q&A, please register. Please mind, that registration is limited
