La Francophonie en Chansons

The Permanent Missions of France and Canada to the Organization of American States are pleased to invite you to the event "La Francophonie en Chansons" which will be held in the auditorium of the Maison Française.

This event will be an opportunity to take a musical journey throughout the ages and to discover or rediscover famous songs and opera pieces from the French-speaking heritage.

The Month of La Francophonie is an opportunity to celebrate multilingualism in international organizations especially here in DC, at the OAS, as French is one of its four official languages.

PROGRAM AND ARTISTS
A bouquet of songs from polyphony to modern singing with Choirmaster and pianist Simon Charette and the Rochambeau Choir

Opera singing: a few famous pieces with artists Maggie Polglaze, soprano and Matthew Payne, baritone.

Popular and poetic songs with jazz singer Lynn Véronneau, accompanied by Dave Kline on violin and Ken Avis on guitar.

Please note that proof of full vaccination and ID will be required to enter the French Embassy grounds. Masks are required throughout the performance.

Each person attending the event must have a ticket registered in their name and a government-issued ID that matches the name on the reservation in order to enter the Embassy. Due to strict security measures, please arrive on time, and allow extra time for security screening.
