100th Anniversary of the selection of the Unknown Soldier

The Arlington-Reims Committee invites you to a ceremony to mark the 100th anniversary of the selection of the American Unknown Soldier
About this event
On Sunday October 24th, the ceremony will be held in the presence of a French-American delegation with officials from Arlington County and the French Embassy.
It will echo a parallel ceremony taking place in Chalons-en-Champagne on the same day.

12:15 pm
A wreath will be laid at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier by the French-American delegation.
Note that the walk from the entrance to the Tomb takes about 15 minutes.
1:15pm
A reception will be held in the Tiffany Room of the Arlington Arts Center (3550 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA).
A bouquet will be laid earlier that day at the grave of Sgt Edward Younger (by special invitation only)
Participants should be at the Tomb no later than 12:00 noon on October 24th. All Covid-19 protocols will be in effect.
