Help from our Members

Many of our members have organized themselves to provide assistance to people who are isolated or facing difficult situations.

The activities of some of our members has continued in virtual mode during the Covid-19 crisis in order to combat loneliness and stress. Join one or more associations if you need support! Similarly if you wish to volunteer.

  • WAA, Washington Home organizes many face-to-face and virtual activities to help you overcome loneliness
  • DAPHNE, led by Dr. Roche, organizes psychological assistance. Do not hesitate to contact them.
  • The Alliance Française gives you free access to its Online Culturetheque.
  • The FACC (French American Chamber of Commerce) organizes Webinars.
  • Veterans Maintains a chain of comforting emails and identifies the help needs of their members, who are often elderly.
  • The two French speaking parishes of Washington DC
  • Hughes Cossard, member of the CT and instructor at Stratford University organizes a Forum (zoom + google group) to help restaurateurs and food trades. Contact Hughes to participate: hcossard@stratford.edu

The MADC network:

The Google Group MADC (Maman Autour de DC) led by Stéphanie Kamaruzzaman, reaches many people, French and French. It’s easy to post an ad there to ask for information or help. And of course, if you want to help, participate in these discussions. Click here to subscribe
