Our mission is three-fold:
- Coordinating and promoting the activities of our members,
- Organizing Bastille Day, Le Déjeuner sur l’Herbe and other events,
- And helping our community with the proceeds from our events and donation campaigns.

Bastille Day and Other Events
Every Month the Comité Tricolore organizes "Solidarity Dinners. Friends of the CT enjoy a special meal in one of our great restaurant partners and getting to meet the Chef while helping the community.
We started this program during the Covid crisis and were immediately successful. We decided to go on with these dinners which help bring our community together.

The event showcases outstanding restaurants of the area. The proceeds from Bastille Day are used for charitable purposes.
In the fall, the Comité Tricolore organizes "Le Déjeuner sur l’Herbe", an elegant lunch in the gardens of the Embassy for the French and francophone families of the D.C. area. This is an opportunity for our members to promote their associations and organizations.
In 2019, the Comité Tricolore organized for the first time "Le Dîner du Siècle", a prestigious dinner at the French Ambassador’s residence celebrating great French chefs Paul Bocuse and Joël Robuchon. The proceeds also went to charitable activities.
Helping our Community
The Comité Tricolore’s mission is also to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate in our community.
Our Solidarity Subcommittee reviews all the requests received from various sources: public, private and NGO’s. The subcommittee allocates help based on recommendations from the French consular social services or directly from individuals. We collect funds via events and donation campaigns. Please donate!
